Toyota Debuts Stylish, Powerful 2026 C-HR Battery Electric Vehicle
May 14 2025,

Toyota has officially unveiled the all-new 2026 Toyota C-HR Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), an electrified crossover that blends stunning style, next-level performance, and innovative technology. Built on Toyota’s e-TNGA platform, the 2026 C-HR BEV brings a bold and dynamic coupe-like design, a spacious and tech-forward interior, and all-wheel drive capability, making it a standout in the compact electric SUV segment.
Electrifying Performance with Everyday Range
Powered by a 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery, the C-HR BEV produces a combined 338 horsepower and delivers an estimated 0-60 mph time of around 5 seconds. With a manufacturer-estimated all-electric driving range of up to 290 miles, this crossover is both spirited and efficient.
Equipped with standard All-Wheel Drive (AWD), the C-HR BEV uses electric motors on both front and rear eAxles. Its low center of gravity and precisely tuned suspension ensure responsive handling and a fun-to-drive character. Additionally, regenerative braking paddle shifters allow drivers to choose from four levels of braking force to recapture energy and extend battery range.
Fast-Charging Convenience
The C-HR BEV features a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, compatible with thousands of DC fast-charging stations across North America. Under ideal conditions, drivers can expect a 10-80% charge in approximately 30 minutes. The model also supports Level 1 and Level 2 AC charging and includes battery pre-conditioning for optimized charging in colder climates.
Stylish & Functional Interior
Inside, the 2026 C-HR BEV offers a refined, modern cabin with soft-touch materials, a spacious layout, and high-tech amenities. Drivers will enjoy a standard 14-inch touchscreen featuring the Toyota Audio Multimedia system, a fully digital gauge cluster, and dual wireless chargers. Available ambient lighting, customizable seating surfaces, and an optional panoramic roof add to the premium feel.
Utility remains a priority, with 60/40 split-folding rear seats and up to 25.4 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row. Additional comfort-focused features include rear-seat USB ports, rear A/C controls, and advanced smartphone connectivity through wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.
