Toyota is well known for their safety and their desire to make sure you and your loved ones are as safe as you can be getting from one destination to the next. What you may not know if that Toyota also cares about your future. A way Toyota does this is through the introduction many years ago of our hybrid vehicles.
Toyota is constantly adding hybrids to their models of vehicles creating even more options than every before for our consumers. Toyota had created the Hybrid Synergy Drive (HSD), which has won them more ecoENERGY awards than any other manufacturer in Canada. The ecoENERGY award recognizes the most fuel-efficient vehicles in Canada.
The major benefit that makes the HSD stand out, is that is combines all the benefits you receive with a gas engine with the clean efficiency of an electric Motor. What does this mean? This means that Toyota Hybrids are up to 70% cleaner than a traditional gas burning engine or diesel vehicle.

How Do They Work?
They start up quick at the push of a button, and are so quiet you will barely know it’s running. At startup there are zero emissions, fuel savings and instant torque because only the electric motor is engaged.
As you drive your vehicle and increase your speed, the gas engine and electric motor operate like a team. They work together to provide the ideal mix of mechanical and electric power for smooth, and seamless acceleration.
DID YOU KNOW THAT ANY EXCESS ENERGY THAT IS CREATED WHILE DRIVING IS USED TO HELP RE-CHARGE THE BATTERY? THAT’S PRETTY NEAT.
Stopping your vehicle is different in Toyotas Hybrids because as you come to a complete halt, the gas engine shuts down completely. This saves fuel and limits emissions. The only time the gas engine will intuitively start up is when the battery is running low to provide re-charging power.
Toyota Hybrids are able to be so clean and efficient because out unique operating system selectively uses electric-only power. For instance, under normal circumstances, when you reverse only the electric motor needs to be operational.
One thing we love about the Toyota Hybrids is that not only are we able to offer our customers an environmentally conscious option, but they don’t need to sacrifice their safety or style to do so. Currently Toyota offers Hybrid models of the Toyota Prius, Toyota Prius C, Toyota Prius V, Toyota Prius Prime, Toyota Camry, Toyota Rav 4 and Toyota Highlander. However new to our 2020 lineup is a 2020 Corolla Hybrid! So those who want the benefits of our most popular vehicle combined with a Hybrid, Toyota listened and now it’s an option available to you.
